ICD-10 is the next wave to impact all physicians. Are you ready?

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has mandated the replacement of the ICD-9 code set with a new and expanded ICD-10. This major transition will impact all physicians and their workflows. The new ICD-10 codes include about 87,000 codes compared to 14,000 codes under the current code set. In addition, the new code set includes the transition to 3-7 characters in documenting diagnosis compared to the 3-5 digit system that is being used today. This means that practices will need to update their software in order to accommodate the increased number of codes and to comply with the new regulation which will be mandatory on October 1st, 2014.

Effective the compliance date, all claims must include ICD-10 or they will not be processed. We at TheraManager are ready to provide all our current customers with the necessary software update that is essential for compliance with the new ICD-10 code set. Don't wait to the last minute to comply as this new requirement involves updating your software, changing your workflows, training your office staff, and much more.
